Wonder hotel

We returned from H10 Vintage Salou on Saturday, 19th September, and it did not disappoint.
The transfer from the airport was only around 20 minutes. On arrival, we were given wristbands that acted as our room keys, along with a separate key for the safe. The hotel is cashless, and you can either load money onto your wristband to pay for drinks and extras or pay by card. I chose to use my Monzo card throughout our stay.
The food was plentiful, with a great variety available at every meal. Drinks were very reasonably priced. When paying by card, we were asked whether we wanted to pay in euros or pounds. We chose euros, as it worked out cheaper.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. Our room was cleaned every day, and the staff were excellent. The hotel was especially accommodating to my mother-in-law, who is currently experiencing mobility issues, and their support was greatly appreciated.
The entertainment was enjoyable, and there was always something going on in the evenings.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

A good little getaway

The hotel itself is in a great location. Within walking distance to the local attractions. Upon arrival we were allowed to change and store luggage and enjoy the pool whilst waiting for the room to be ready.
The general reviews re the sunbed wars are sadly true. Frequent offenders would leave their towels unattended for hours without anything being said or removed. Prepare for the morning 8:30am queue for a sunbed.
The staff are all very friendly. I cannot fault the entertainment team at all - particularly the new female member of staff (I forgot to get her name), but she was absolutely invaluable and it did not come across as her first week at all. The lifeguard is also a good laugh with the team!
The housekeeping team are like a bunch of speedy whippets! Upon arrival the room was clean and refreshing.
The bar has a good drink selection generally, although personally I could do with something other than Estrella on tap.
The restaurant is slightly a let down. Very inconsistent. Some mornings, breakfast was great with good selection, others not so much. Evenings were meh at best. The food was very salty as a general rule, and if youre a sweet treat lover like myself, I found it better to find local options.

Great location

This hotel is in a great location. Check in was quick though you don’t get into your room until 3 so had to leave our cases and go back. We had a pool view room which I would recommend. Rooms were clean though a bit dated. We were half board and although buffet wasn’t massive the food was always fresh and topped up regularly. We caught the evening entertainment a couple of nights and it was really quite good. If you have a pool view room you can watch from your balcony as it is held outside when weather is good. We stayed 9 nights and never had an issue getting sunbeds. We used the roof terrace a few times and it was really clean and a nice small bar.
As mentioned in previous reviews there is very little sound proofing between rooms which can be an issue.
My only criticism is that although there are lots of sunbeds there are very few parasols. During our stay we never had one at all and in the temperatures we had while there I would definitely have used one.
We took the Plana bus to Tarragona which is well worth a visit if you are in Salou and for those that like shopping it has a great shopping centre. Cambrils is also well worth a visit.
