Great hotel, beautiful food and friendly staff
melly1968
Myself and my partner treated ourselves to the privilege suite and I have to say that it was worth every penny. I really enjoyed the experience. The view restaurant is fantastic. The breakfast there was outstanding. The food food was fantastic. Ramos was absolutely lovely and very friendly and happy and we also enjoyed the Teppanyaki and Italian restaurants. The Route 66 American restaurant was also worth a visit but our favourite was the view restaurant the privilege Pool on the roof of the hotel was also very welcoming and relaxing. All of the staff were fantastic. The central market buffet was also good. We only really visited that at lunchtime as we had the privilege option and we opted for that in the evenings and mornings there are not a lot of places to walk outside the hotel, so if you wanted that then I would say the location is not perfect however the hotel do organise a shuttle bus to playa de las America's free of charge. La Calleta is just a short cab ride away and there is a bus out the front of the hotel too that goes to Costa Adeje. We also used the spa area which was included in a privilege package and this was very nice too. Look out for the robots cleaning the floors

A foodies dream but needs a makeover

We went for our pre-wedding stay on the privilege all-inclusive package.
The food and the staff were the absolute highlight. However, it was definitely more of a four star than five. A few tweaks would definitely bring it back.
The great
- The staff are some of the warmest and friendliest people you'll meet. The manager in Route 66 and in Stromboli deserve a raise! They managed busy restaurants effortlessly and the food was excellent.
- The food was fantastic and I am a coeliac!! The breakfast in the View was calm and peaceful. You can order two items off the menu. Eating perfectly cooked eggs outside was a real treat, no rushing and you can start your day right. They've a small buffet but it's more than sufficient.
As a coeliac, the main buffet gave me the absolute fear. I wasn't to worry as the chef shows you around. Marcus, a second chef there, went above and beyond for me - cooking a separate pasta dish in a coeliac friendly zone. The four cheese sauce he made was to die for. That level of effort alone would bring me back!
- The room was spacious and clean. Despite it being two beds pushed together, it worked so well as they have dressed the bed that you wouldn't know. We had a welcome bottle of champagne for our pre wedding celebration and it was a really nice touch.
- Mikes was the spot to be in, while it was closed several days during our stay, when it was open, it was the best spot to get smoothies, cakes and coffees. Definitely a spot to stop by.
Much needed improvements
- The spa is very outdated and really needs a good overhaul. Lots of black mould growing between the tiles. The sauna and steam room need a complete make over.
- The gym equipment needs to be replaced. It's a small space and the weight section is excellent but the bikes and rowing machine have seen better days - not what you want from a 5 star
- The rooftop pool is beautiful but there are SO many tiles missing and the lack of maintenance really impacts on the experience. We were also under the impression it was an adult only space, it isn't. I really would recommend that they only allow over 8s in, as a group had small children playing on the steps and it made it incredibly difficult getting in and out of the pool - no one wants to hurt a small child trying to get in and out. A couple complained to the parents and there was a minor argument. Not what you want when you're trying to unwind. The lifeguard who should have stepped in was glued to his phone.
- Snack options need improvement! The rooftop bar only offers crisps or peanuts with the alcohol and soft drinks served. While they do go around with fruit cups which are delightful, I would recommend adding in ice cream, fruit pots and other snacks people can grab - make it unlimited on the all-inclusive. It's a similar story for the circle bar.
- They say you cannot reserve sun beds but you witness it as you're coming down for breakfast at 8am. They don't really enforce rules and the whole running for sun beds really cheapens the vibes. It didn't happen in the privilege areas, just the general pools.
- Booking everything on the app can get very tedious.
- Late checkout is subject to availability and I strongly believe it isn't something they actually offer. You need to call the day before to 'reserve a spot,' then ring again the next morning. They could only offer us a room for 30 mins which defeated the purpose entirely as we had four suitcases and a wedding dress. It isn't giving a seamless experience and the whole process really annoyed me.
Would we come back? We are on the fence, while the food was excellent and the staff were fabulous. Some areas of the hotel need a serious make over. Rules should be enforced to ensure the safety and pleasure of all guests. More snacks during the day would be a wonderful plus.

Great few days in Tenerife
David W
Recently returned from Atlantic Sunset. The hotel delivered what you expect for a 5* hotel and the price that goes with it. You can stay cheaper in Tenerife in an all inclusive but you get what you pay for and I feel we did. I was pleased as we have stayed here once previously and their is nothing more disappointing where a return visit doesn't live up to previous expectations. This did.
Travelled with Jet2. Nothing to do with hotel but I had concerns at speed through the Tenerife South airport having previously had slow transits before and the introduction of the new EU entry system. Actually was quite quick both ways and had improved since our last visit. From airport via the bus was about 35 minutes I think and we were the only ones getting off.
Really friendly welcome when we arrived at front of hotel from some one whose name i can't remember but a credit to hotel. Check in was efficient and quick once we pointed out had stayed before and didn't need all the info again. Glass of sparkling wine was nice touch as well. Later in day seems to get busier in late afternoon with more waiting. For a 5* hotel it would be nice to have bags taken to room as there seemed to be only one staff member doing this and they had just departed with another guest. The hotel architecture and style are fabulous but the layout isn't the easiest to navigate if you are new to the hotel. The hotel has a lot of steps and a combination of lifts are needed to get to your room with bags.
Room - as other have stated it modern and clean with nice touches such as USB charging points near bed / good quality toiletries and mini bar free but restocked every other day. Block 2 overlooked on one side hard rock hotel which does seem noisy during day when went back to room but was quiet at night. The exception being some very drunk / loud guests one night. View of beach below was nice and partly of sea which most rooms would have. Temperature in room was nice at night and serviced daily to good standard and usually quite early. Towels were a little rough to say the least ! Good size
Food - main buffet was was good. We eat most things so had no issue at any meal time getting something we enjoyed. If you like fish it was particularly good. Peak meal times there did seem a bit of a wait going in despite booking system. Limited outside eating unless you got in early as we often did. Peak times did seem a little wait for a drink to arrive or be ordered. Be nice if at lunch and evening the juice machine was operational.
Route 66 - great meal and even better service. Manager who introduced himself clearly takes a great pride in running a good quality restaurant. Lunch can be booked here as the pool bar. Again food good just can be a bit hot depending where you are seated
Sakura - our daughter was over 12 so we good go this time unlike last. Again excellent food cooked in front of you on a tasting menu with the chef explaining everything. An experience as much as a meal. Really enjoyable.
Italian - Food ok but menu a bit limited and on par with chain Italians back in UK in my feeling. Service good be better I feel here as well. Would be nice to sit outside but told no seats available despite half the tables empty none of which were re-laid for other guests while we were there.
Bars - really good range of drinks and branded. Beer was Estrella and wine for all inclusive was very drinkable. Measures for spirits very generous. Only gripes were non acholic cocktails very sweet and service in piano bar / terrace never the quickest despite at times not being too busy. Later in evening post meal this can slow down even more. Gave up waiting late one night. In the theatre you just went to the bar and this worked really well and far quicker than in the past when they came to your table. Since last visit another truck is by Lower pool which made waits during day to get a drink quiet quick.
Pools - middle pool is easy to get a sunbed around. At times staff took towels off beds that were reserved but not most days. Salt water with temperature ok. Top pool was very busy as were beds
Evening entertainment - really good especially compared to other hotels with lots of professional acts rather than in house team. Spanish dancers and Elton john tribute our favourites. Some more seats in theatre would help as compared to previous visit seems far less and quite hard to get unless you've ben there for mini disco.
Staff - vast majority but not all very friendly and hard working
Location - quite spot really with not too much going on around or shops. If you take exit by Spa (wife and daughter really enjoyed this and commented on quality) and head towards Hard Rock there are few up there.
Last day we had a late flight and were given use of a room by reception to shower and change for half hour. Clean ( not all rooms like this are in some hotels) with plenty of towels.
Stayed in other H10s an is a good chain to holiday with. Pay a bit more but then quality is higher.

Beautiful hotel with Beautiful views
Mirona-Elena V
Loved staying at this hotel. Everything was exceptional. Amazing food, polite staff, clean in general.
The reason why I am giving it 4 stars only is that the Roof top Suite jacuzzi is not actually a jacuzzi, but a tub with hydrojets and is too small for 2 people. Also, the tub was keep blowing some black flakes into the water when yhe hydrojets were on. This was improved after we reported it, but it did not stop completely.
The cleaning of the room was great and the overall hotel. In our shower there were some black mold between the tiles in some areas.
The views from the hotel were breathtaking and the staff amazing. We really enjoyed our holiday here and most likely, we will come again.
Thank you for having us!
