Well done H10 Tenerife playa

We stayed here for 10nights, we upgraded our room from the ground floor to the eighth floor over looking the sea & the mountains to our right. The food was excellent with lots of varieties for breakfast to many to mention. The two pools were good. Cafe de Paris a five minute walk from the hotel put on a show every Thursday evening. Tickets cost around €50 -€60 each highly recommended. The only issue we had was two cockroaches in the quiet room & one in our room on the day of departure. The hotel call them Tenerife butterflies. If I was to rate the hotel & holiday it would be 10/10.

Ignore the cynics

Not quite sure what the people leaving negative reviews expected - we found the hotel perfectly OK for the price. Yes there were queues for the restaurant at busy times but these were always dealt with speedily and efficiently. Breakfast was always the same but offered a good choice and included smoothies. Dinner (don't bother to dress up!) offered a good choice and varied from night to night. The house wines were very reasonably priced, as were all the drinks compared to the UK. The entertainment was ok and stopped at 11pm by which time everything was quiet. It was always possible to get a lounger near the pool. The room was clean and comfortable enough if a bit on the small side. No freebies and very limited TV channels in English. Unbeatable location. All the staff seemed helpful and friendly.

Relaxing stay

Overall we had a good stay here in march. The only really negative thing here is the food. The dining experience is not really up to the standard you expect: At breakfast the ‘orange juice’ from the machines is almost undrinkable - go for the fresh fruit smoothies instead. The coffe is also pretty uninspiring. Other than that breakfast was ok - plenty of choice. At dinner and lunch lots of choice, but as other reviews have noted dishes not always that hot. At busy times both breakfast and dinner and lunch were a bit of a scrum. We were half board and it was easy to swap dinner for lunch - lunch was very similar to dinner but a lot less busy! If i went again would not bother with half board Room was small but clean, bed were comfortable. We had a balcony and, (just about) a sea view. Annoying feature was having to pay for the room safe. Pool area was nice but always busy - hard to get a lounger in the sun unless you bagged one at about 8:00 am - we used the roof terrace instead - quieter and better views! In the evening bar was busy, with some entertainment. Bar staff, like all hotel staff really friendly and worked hard. Hotel in a great location - if you stay here don’t confine your dining and drinking to the hotel - lots of great restaurants and bars in easy walking distance

A fabulous hotel

I’ve just returned from my second stay at the H10 Tenerife Playa. I emailed the hotel 4 weeks before my arrival date with a request for a room near to the lift because I have walking difficulties. Not only did they say yes they called me and asked if I’d like a room that has a bathroom that’s specifically adapted. I stayed in room 722 which had an amazing side sea view. At the end of our corridor was an amazing viewing spot, it has a table and chairs so you can relax and enjoy the view.( I’ve attached photos for all too see) All the staff was so helpful and polite. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The food was good quality and I enjoyed the evening entertainment fairly good. The acrobat’s was fantastic. Will definitely be returning a third time.
